I am passionate about ensuring Young People have a voice in their education, and agency within the system. I have lived experience of navigating the world of SEND, and I am dedicated to empowering parents and carers to actively engage in their child’s or young person’s educational journey.
Samantha Brindley – SIASS Caseworker
I joined SIASS in May 2023 after previously volunteering with the service for a year. As a parent of children with SEND, I understand the struggles of navigating the SEND journey and empathise with how overwhelming it can be.
I feel it is important to capture the voice of the young person/child. Supporting others, promoting a better understanding and shining a light on PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) is at the heart of my passion.
