An annual review is a meeting to check your EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan).
It looks at:
- Your needs
- The support you get
- Your goals (outcomes)
It checks if anything needs to change
When does it happen?
- First review: within 12 months of your EHCP starting
- Then: at least annually (every year)
Who organises it?
- Usually your school or college (often the SENCo)
- The local authority (council) is still responsible
If you are not in school, the Local Authority organises it

This information should be shared 2 weeks before the annual review
